Supermarine Aircraft has spent the past 30+ years designing and manufacturing high‑quality Spitfire reproduction kits. Over the last 15 years, we’ve also engineered our own advanced engines and a superior re‑drive system to deliver improved performance and reliability. Today, Supermarine Spitfires are flying across the globe — including the USA, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, and Canada.
Our commitment to innovation has driven millions of dollars in research and development, resulting in aircraft kits that are safe, precise, and a joy to fly. We take pride in producing a world‑leading product built for enthusiasts who value craftsmanship and authenticity.

Supermarine Aircraft was founded by Michael (Mike) O’Sullivan, who officially entered the kit aircraft manufacturing industry in 1992 — though the vision began much earlier. The Mk26 and Mk26b designs are now well‑proven, with all aluminum components pre‑drilled and cut using computer‑controlled CNC routers. This ensures consistent, high‑precision parts far beyond the tolerances of the original Spitfire manufacturing methods.
Major structural sections are built in factory jigs to guarantee accuracy in critical components. The construction process is designed for builders who are skilled with their hands and want a rewarding, achievable aircraft project.
